Turning limitations into advantages is one of the key aspects of the art of cinematography. The story comes first and is always the primary motivation for his approach to lighting and camera work.
However, art isn’t easy, and one is always learning. The goal is to try and make his director’s world visible while remaining as invisible as possible.
